Vietnam Food Era at the Dak Lak Durian Production – Consumption Connection Forum 2026 On August 16, Vietnam Food Era Company Limited took part in the Durian Production – Consumption Connection Forum , held under the theme "Toward a Sustainable Durian Ecosystem" at the Muong Thanh Luxury Buon Ma Thuot Hotel. The forum was organized as part of the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 , co-hosted by the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee together with Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and Ministry of Industry and Trade. A Growing Industry Under Increasing Scrutiny Dak Lak has emerged as Vietnam's leading durian-producing province, with roughly 44,000 hectares under cultivation and an estimated output of 500,000 tons in 2026. The province currently holds 280 approved growing-area codes covering around 7,500 hectares, with a further 253 codes pending approval from Chinese authorities — underscoring both the scale of the opportunity and the rising bar for export compliance. The forum brought together approximately 600 delegates, including nearly 200 domestic enterprises and around 20 international companies from China and Thailand, alongside government representatives, industry associations, and technical experts.
